How much would a 50 acre artificial lake cost?
My uncle became CEO of his company about 3 years ago and has been making boatloads of money and he's building a massive farm as his residence with a mansion, barn, cattle, and everything on 500 acres..now he's talking about building a 50 acre lake stocked with catfish, bass, perch, and crappie...and trust me he probably has the money but im just wondering how much something like that would cost because he won't tell me?
It depends on how he plans it out. If he digs out a 20ft deep pond it won't cost that much but if he is planning it out and plans on managing it properly I would say with equipment, labor, stocking and management he could be looking at an easy $175,000-$250,000 for 50 acres. I think I just read where the government is giving tax incentives to people who have ponds or private lakes on their property and he is probably doing because of that. Isn't nice how so many people are struggling and guys like this can just throw money at stuff like this. I wonder what the average employee makes at his company or how many people they have laid off while he plans out the moat around his castle.
