How many men have given up fatherhood so they can save up money to invest in stocks or some other business?
Is this idea of giving up parenthood to save money to start a business rare or common in your neighborhood ?

Am I the only one who thinks this way ?
you asked a weird question in a weird way, but i actually get what you're saying.
i have a rare opinion on this subject and it might come across as irrelevant or obscure. stick with me on this, though, and you'll get it when i'm done.
some people say not having children is selfish. yeah, it is. but if you want to have children and you choose that path, aren't you also being selfish? meaning in either instance, you're doing what you WANT to do as a person, and it really doesn't matter that you are sacrificing a large portion of your income and lifestyle to raise a child or not, it's your choice (well, hopefully the child is your choice), just like saving all your money and spending it on you for the rest of your life is your choice. people don't like to admit it, but probably just as many happy fathers out there get as jealous of the rich 30-something-year-old bachelor as often as the vice versa happens. life is unfortunately always about regrets and what-ifs, but just about everything you do in between is selfish, in a good way or bad way is irrelevant.
where am i going with this? if you feel that it is more important to save money than have a child, don't feel bad about it. while the pentecostal couple next door may have 15 children and shun you, truthfully they probably love their 15 kids more than 15 million dollars any day of the week. like the other person said, whatever you are happiest with should not make you feel bad. that is, unless you hurt others around you. people will always be jealous, angry, or disgusted with decisions you choose even if they are always the right decisions in your mind. you have to live with that no matter if you're a bachelor or a happily married father.
my official opinion, having children is something that should definitely be reserved for later rather than earlier in your life. and by later i mean for a guy, mid 30s, for a woman, late 20s. at least then you have time to build a savings account and proper investments, not to mention a good job and growth status with your company.
