Software Modification?
I have a finance program that I have been using for 20 yrs. The Co. that supported it has gone out of business. They had a propriority data downloader to update stock,etf and mutual fund end of day pricing. I'm interested in finding someone to help me with modifying the existing program to accept end of day data from Yahoo Finanace. Thank you
This is not going to be easy unless you can get the source code.
programs are compiled which means the source code is converted into 0's and 1's which means rather than writing in code, you would need to find a programmer who is willing to hack his way through the code without variable names and without any clear way of what hes doing. this will be almost impossible. and im also not sure how legal it would be to just go and edit someones program.
