M1A STOCK
M1A STOCK
Will the internals of a M21 fit the stock of a M1A?
I want to purchase a M21 but I like the butt stock of the original M14/M1A, so could I buy the M21 and switch all the internals over to the M1A stock? Or does the M21'S STOCK have something unique that assists in it's accuracy? Will the switch make it less accurate? I don't see how it would beings its basically the same body, just different butt stocks.
(BTW I'm talking about WOODEN STOCKS, not synthetic.)

As far as I know, the only difference between the two is the operation. The M21 is specifically designed for accuracy, whereas the M1A is more or less a semiautomatic version of the M14. So the M21 is an upgraded M1A, and as long as the manufacturers are the same (Springfield Armory, I believe), they should be interchangeable - and may be even if the manufacturers are different.
