I am applying to work at a drug store as a cashier or stocker, should in include my unrelated resume?
My only resume that I have is target for Computer Repair since that's mostly what I do, however I am forced to find a job in retail or another type of job due to the lack of tech related jobs. The store asks for the job application and a resume if you have one. Would it be pointless to give them my resume or not?
Don't do it. Odds are it will make you appear over qualified which is bad for a number of reasons. First, someone who is over qualified for a job is likely to be less happy with it and thus less productive (from the manager's stand point). Second, the manager might find it emasculating if you are more qualified than s/he is. The list goes on. Don't do it.
