Should I get my money out of the "Stock Market" or stay in even if it means riding it to the bottom?
A financial consultant has pulled all his money out of the market and put it elsewhere. I asked him why? He said, this market is headed lower and lower and he will jump back in when it bottoms out sometime in late 2009 or early 2010! Is this market still that shaky? I know it lost over 700 points today...is that real bad or just an average loss on a bad day? Can the market have a lot of 700 point loss days or not? I have lost over $40,000 thus far in my retirement investments, some tell me they have lost 5 times that...can this be true....are things that bad? The Stock Market cannot collapse like it did in 1929, right? The U.S. government has safeguards to protect the market in place...right? What do you believe will happen....should I stay or get out as the financial consultant already has after talking with friends on "Wall Street"? Will Barack Obama steady the market with bailouts ? Will that help?
its going from negative 500-700 to positive 600-900, I'm leaving mine in till the Dow Jones reaches 5K. if it reaches that then I'm pulling out so i can use the cash to survive
