what do you think of sharper IMAGE STOCK?
i saw that sharper image stock was .50 cents in the morning, i did hear abour the problems with this company do you think it may have a chance to turnaround. it said starting in spring it was going to lanch some new items, and even going to sell donald trumps steaks what do you guys think, smart buy, or stay away from it
Well, SHRP made its name being hip, with all the cool new toys, and now apparently nobody thinks it's hip anymore. At least they're not buying stuff there, just window-shopping.
Earnings have been falling for two years; now their net profit margin is negative -38%. It lost $ 70 Million in the last 12 months.

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- After years of declining sales, The Sharper Image -- known for creature comforts and gadgets like robotic massage chairs and $170 toothbrushes -- has gone belly-up, declaring bankruptcy Wednesday.
In a brief statement, Sharper Image announced it had filed for Chapter 11 protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, but that it "intends to continue to conduct business as usual while it devotes renewed efforts to resolve its operational and liquidity problems and develops a reorganization plan."
... In other words, when they remember how to sell products people want to buy...
