STOCK MORGAN
What happens to my Washington Mutual stock now that JP Morgan bought them out?
I have a few shares in Washington Mutual. Not much, but I figured because I lost so much, I would wait for either a gov't bail out or, in this instance, another company to buy them out. The only problem here, is that the FDIC did seize Wamu before JP Morgan bought them. So, what happens to my stock? Does any of it get split/divided into JP stock or am I going to get obliterated off the stock exchange?
Well, personally I hope some of WM does stick around. My only worry is that it evaporates entirely. I know plenty of people who still plan on using their WaMu credit card and checking account. My concern, once again, is that I do not know if WaMu is going to be gone "forever" tomorrow morning on the NYSE. I hope Uncle Sam and the CEO's leave me a little bit of pie.

Bear Stearns was bought by Jp morgan Chase. When that happened they plummeted. Dropped to around $2 a share. They kept their name and now they are around $10. See for yourself. Go to Google type in bear stearns buyout and click the article that says Question abound on Bear Stearns Buyout.(1st article) Same thing happened with WAMU. Give it six months and see where it goes.Factor in the bailout about to happen and a new president getting elected. Plus for banks for alittle while. Bear Stearns was also and is still in debt. Where do you think they were before they got to over $100 a share. They were alot lower. Buy several thousand shares before the stock goes up over $1 a share. Make thousands and thank me later.
