Stock broker settlement question?
Hi,
My question is, which stock broker will let me do the following because TDAmeritrade doesn't allow me to do this for some reason. I have lets say $1,000 in my account, buy STOCK WORTH 1,000 then next day the stock goes up 10 cents, i sell what i bought the previous day and realize the small profit. I want to immediately turn around and buy the same or different stock but TDAmeritarde doesnt allow me to do this for some reason. Which other broker will let me keep buying and selling as long as i have the required funds in my account?

yes, this is a CASH account.
To the last poster, is the settlement date on a margin account immediate? Meaning you can buy and sell the same stock as many times as you want in a day.
You are probably trying to do this using a cash account. You need a margin account to trade more actively and to get around the 3-day settlement rule.
What you are doing is trying to violate what is called the free-riding rule. The only way around this is with a margin account.
