How do I sell a pink SHEET STOCK?
I tried to sell a pink sheet today with online briokerage, but it would only let me sell it by LIMIT ORDER so I put in the price it was at the time and submitted it. It went down by 20% after that but it never sold my stock! How do I get rid of this stock?
Pink Sheet and Over the Counter (OTC) stocks are notoriously illiquid. Your broker probably required a limit order because there was no market for your stock. The stock went down by 20% because somebody sold it for less than you and the 1 or 2 people buying would not pay your higher price.
Buyers for your stock will be hard to find, and the best you can do is keep an eye on the Bid and try to update your limit to match it.
