STOCK SUNTRUST
What do you think about buying stock in this bank?
I was thinking about buying some stock in SunTrust Banks. I found the following article. Let me know your thoughts:

I know the banking industry is horrible right now but the economy goes in cylces. even if this stock only returns to half its value from what it was before, its still a good investment.
I would love some second opinions.
If you have the stomach for it, STI might indeed over time give you a nice reward. But it is not a riskless investment. The Atlanta housing market where STI does a lot of business is not doing too well. Keep in mind too that the economy may not recover any time soon. I hope it does, but that is not worth much. They also have a couple of preferred outstanding. One that I am familiar with pays about 10.6% currently. There is not the possibility of such a large capital gain with it, but it is just a tad safer and 10.6% is nothing to sneeze at.
